Don't miss out on Winter in Alaska!

Alaska offers a wide variety of winter activities.

Nordic Skiing
If novice or experienced our groomed back country trails offer fun for every ability.

Snow Shoeing
Do you admire the peace that fills the crisp, cold winter air? Then you will enjoy snowshoeing on the Deshka River or in the woods.

Dog Mushing
Your host, Andy has longtime experience in mushing sled dogs and has run the Iditarod sled dog race. He is looking forward to sharing some of his experience with you and take you on an exciting adventure.

Snow Machining
Another way of enjoying nature's wild winter wonderland. When you plan your next outing why not include a lunch break by a warming fireplace? Enjoying some fine, fresh prepared meals?

Northern Lights
Winter is the best time to view the unique Aurora Borealis and what could be more enjoyable than viewing them in Alaska's Wilderness, miles away from city lights?

Wildlife
Not all of Alaska's critters nap through the cold months. Moose, Fox, Wolves and Otter for example can be seen all winter.

Ice Fishing
Do you belong to the group of fishermen that don't fear the ice? The Deshka River has an excellent reputation for salmon fishing in summer, but in winter the local waters offer ice fishing for pike, burbot and trout.
